Ben provides strategic leadership and oversight for programs that safeguard BC Hydro’s people, assets, and operations. He ensures organizational resilience through a comprehensive, risk-based approach encompassing physical security, emergency preparedness, business continuity, public safety, and wildfire and fire risk management.

An effective communicator and collaborative leader, Ben delivers results through strong stakeholder engagement. He and his team are trusted advisors before, during, and after emergencies, ensuring readiness and coordinated response to protect critical infrastructure and maintain service reliability.

Ben brings extensive leadership experience from telecommunications and utilities and understands the importance of safeguarding critical infrastructure for customers and the public. He holds degrees in Physical Health & Education and Psychology from Queen’s University, along with certifications in risk and emergency management, executive and crisis leadership, and security.
