Rob has led tours since the days of UNBC’s construction in the early 1990s. The tour during the BC Natural Resources Forum will showcase facilities and products that are unique in Canada and position Prince George as a leader in the low-carbon transition. The tour is based on one that was originally developed in 2022 for a visit to Prince George of a delegation from the Governor-General's office. He has since delivered it for provincial and local government officials, the Conference Board of Canada, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

Rob currently works for the Community Energy Association, a BC-based non-profit that accelerates local initiatives related to climate and energy. In his role, he facilitates the Northern BC Climate Action Network (NorthCAN), which convenes hundreds of people around the region who work to initiate and implement local initiatives related to energy and climate. Rob previously worked for the City of Prince George and the University of Northern British Columbia, where he was also a founding employee.
