Todd has been proud to call the BC Peace Region home since 2004. He began his career that year as a Regional Agrologist with the Ministry of Agriculture, where he also discovered a passion for education by teaching part-time in the Land and Resource Management program at Northern Lights College (NLC).

Todd went on to take on leadership roles with the Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations, first as Director for Major Projects – leading teams responsible for permitting wind, mining, and hydroelectric developments across northeast B.C. – and later as District Manager for the forestry branch, overseeing operations and regulatory work in the region.

He returned to NLC in 2015 as an excluded manager and part of the College’s leadership team. In 2018, he became Vice President of Student Services and Community Relations, and in 2022, he was appointed President and CEO — a role that continues to fuel his passion for education, collaboration, and building strong, connected communities.
Todd holds a diploma in Forest Technology from Selkirk College, a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, and a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management from the University of Northern British Columbia.

Today, he lives with his family on a cattle ranch outside Dawson Creek. With more than 20 years of experience spanning education, government, and industry, Todd brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities shaping northern B.C. His career has been guided by a commitment to truth and reconciliation, lifelong learning, and community development – and by a strong belief in the transformative power of post-secondary education.
