Lindsay Thompson

Director, Indigenous Relations, BC Hydro

As the Director of Indigenous Relations, Lindsay oversees the implementation of BC Hydro’s Indigenous Relations strategy. Lindsay’s team conducts consultation and engagement on over 400 capital projects across the province including the Site C dam project, the biggest in British Columbia’s history. She is well versed in the planning and execution of major projects and directly managed over 30 capital projects during her time in Project Delivery at BC Hydro before joining the Indigenous Relations team.

Lindsay understands the critical importance of both BC Hydro’s growing infrastructure in the Province and in building mutually respectful relationships with Indigenous communities to advance reconciliation. Lindsay’s values are always at the forefront of her work and she believes that relationship building inside and outside BC Hydro is at the heart of progress.

Her authentic leadership style and her willingness to tackle challenging issues help drive conversations that lead to solutions.

Lindsay has both a Masters and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and holds a Project Management Professional certificate.
