CEO, Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster
Sue Paish, Q.C., is the CEO of Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster, leading a ‘never been done before’ program of industry-led consortia in the development and implementation of world-leading digital technology platforms and products. The Supercluster brings together industry, academia, governments, and not-for- profits, leveraging Canada’s expertise in data analytics, genomics, quantum computing, mixed and augmented reality, the Internet of Things, and AR and VR to solve some of society’s biggest challenges through Canadian made technologies while creating jobs and growing Canada’s international competitiveness.
Sue has led a number of organizations across multiple industries – as the Managing Partner of one of Canada’s leading law firms, the CEO of Canada’s largest chain of independent retail pharmacies, and the CEO of Canada’s largest diagnostic lab. In each of these roles Sue mobilized diverse teams to drive business growth, implement large-scale organizational change, and develop and implement transformational technologies.
Sue also is the Chair of the Boards for the CORIX Group of Companies, Contextual Genomics, and the Business Council of British Columbia, and is a Director on the Advisory Board for Stemcell Technologies and Own the Podium.
Sue has been recognized for community and business leadership with awards including: Honorary Doctorate of Technology (BCIT), Queen’s Counsel Designation, UBC Faculty of Law Distinguished Alumni Award, University of Victoria Distinguished Entrepreneur, YWCA Woman of Distinction, Hall of Fame for Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, and the Influential Women in Business Lifetime Achievement Award.
