MINISTER OF ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES CANADA TO ATTEND BC NATURAL RESOURCES FORUM IN PRINCE GEORGE


The BC Natural Resources Forum (BCNRF) is proud to announce that Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Canada will be attending the 21st annual BCNRF. The event will take place on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre. The Minister will be speaking on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

The BCNRF provides a positive, non-partisan platform to discuss and learn first-hand the latest news, trends, and opportunities within the key resource sectors in BC and across Canada. The Forum has become well known as the largest natural resource conference in Western Canada that brings First Nations, Government, and the BC Natural Resource Sector together to foster collaboration and meaningful partnerships. 


More than 1,200 individuals, including First Nations, NGOs, community, government, and business leaders, are expected to attend the event in Prince George. This year’s theme is “Shaping Tomorrow: BC’s Resource Sector and Future Generations”. 
The 2024 program will include the popular BC Resource Ministers’ Breakfast, along with panels on topics such as LNG, forestry, sustainable energy, BC exports, healing the land, mining, and Indigenous economic development. Keynote speakers include:
